technical difficulties

i have, of course, had many funny stories to share over the last week and a half, but two Sundays ago i spilled water on my three-year-old Dell laptop—just a splash, really, but it might as well have been a gallon.

the Dell is dead.

i took the incident as the universe's way of telling me it was time to get myself a mac book, and who am i to argue with the universe? my shiny new 13-inch friend is currently in Anchorage, Alaska, awaiting the next leg of its journey (i'm checking the Fed Ex status obsessively) and until it arrives i'm unable to spend much time posting anything here because of course work is (still, always, forever) hectic and any spare moments i steal for myself have been spent searching online for a place to take dance lessons and checking the standings in the AL East (you know, when i need a little pick-me-up).

i hope to be back to my normal posting schedule (which, let's be honest, ain't much different than it is now, huh? i'll work on that...) by the end of the week. please stay tuned.
